Inspection Authorization (IA) Exam Preparation Course — 3 Day
Ready to take your career to the next level and earn your FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)? This 3-day intensive program from America’s Best AMT Courses is designed for experienced A&P mechanics who are ready to test and succeed. Our focused, results-driven course prepares you for the FAA IA Examination by targeting exactly what you need to pass—eliminating wasted time and keeping you aligned with real-world IA standards. This is not an introductory course; it is a high-level exam prep program, so applicants are expected to arrive prepared, engaged, and ready to perform.
To enroll, applicants must meet FAA eligibility requirements under FAR 65.91, including holding an A&P certificate for at least three years, being actively engaged in aircraft maintenance for the past two years, maintaining a fixed base of operation, and having access to the necessary equipment, facilities, and current inspection data. This course is specifically built for qualified mechanics who meet these standards. International applicants holding a valid FAA A&P certificate are also eligible—our team will guide you through the FAA Form 8610-1 process and coordinate with the local FAA office to obtain authorization prior to testing. Upon successful completion, you will return to the FAA to receive your IA certificate.
This is a 3-day IA exam preparation course only; testing fees are separate and paid directly to PSI. Due to the intensive nature of the program, enrollment is limited. After purchasing the course, you must complete the Student Agreement using the link below to secure your seat. Please do not complete the Student Agreement before purchasing, as submissions made prior to payment will not be recognized in our system and your registration will be void. Failure to complete the agreement after purchase may result in delays or loss of eligibility, especially for those utilizing government or third-party funding.
